Scholarships
June 01 - 30, 11:59pm,CST: Scholarship Applications and Bursar's Forms accepted online .
IMPORTANT: Read and Re-Read Carefully Scholarships & Calendar Pages.
July 1-10: Scholarships & Support Committee reviews and select recipients.
All qualifying applicants will not be awarded scholarships. Scholarships are for students in Fort Bend County, Texas and Beyond.
July 11-20: Committee notifies all applicants, and award scholarships by notifying recipients and parents/guardians. Scholarship amount is based on available funds. RSVP, three days prior or sooner via sslw89@gmail.com is required for ALL projects.
July 21-31: Committee reviews bursar's forms, mails checks to universities and copies to recipients/ guardians.
MANDATORY Attendance: College Send Off ( July) - business attire; & Holiday Check In (December)
MANDATORY & Received by July 31 or Prior: Hand - Written & USPS mailed Only THANK YOU card to SSLW. Mail requiring signature NOT accepted.
MANDATORY Hand - Written & Hand - Delivered Three THANK You cards to Hosts at College Send Off in July and One Thank You card to host at Holiday Check In in December .
*Committee's decisions are final.*
Failure to comply with any requirement forfeits scholarship for semester.
Recipients will receive their scholarship funds in two payments: August and January.

​ Register and attend one or more in person or virtual community service projects January - June.
You must arrive early, sign in or have camera on with name display, assist, and stay to the end.

Complete and Accurate Application

Professional head - shoulder photo via jpg only.

Essay - In 200 words or less, tell us why you should be awarded this scholarship. Include details of your various community service with leadership titles/ responsibilities, and your mandatory SSLW in person or virtual service project(s) participation from January 01 - June 30 annually.

Two (2) reference letters:

One (1) high school staff with official letterhead, date, title, email, & phone number.

One (1) community servant with official letterhead, date, title, email, & phone number.

Upload a copy of your high school unofficial transcript AND documentation that an official transcript has been requested.

Completed Bursar Form AND Documentation of your Enrollment next Summer or next Semester.

THANK YOU require efforts. Sending a thank you note is a scholarship's requirement. Send a hand-written USPS mailed thank you note to SSLW so it is received on or before July 31. Post Office Box 2384 - Sugar Land, Texas 77487, USA. Mail requiring signature NOT accepted.
